Call out / Watershed Winter residencies

Develop an idea at the intersection of art and technology, that responds to the theme of ‘Other Minds’,  exploring intelligences different to our own: animals, machines, or something stranger. . Each residency comes with a structured programme, work space at the Pervasive Media Studio in Bristol, a network of peers, plus financial, technical and critical support. A chance to share ideas, meet incredible people, experiment, make and think.

BBC Small Indie Fund
Deadline Fri 3 Nov
A £1 million fund to support talented small independent production companiesacross factual, daytime, drama, comedy, entertainment and children’s TV genres. Successful companies receive tailored support packages to help their development along with commissioning mentors from the BBC.

Aesthetica short film festival

A new entrant training programme that offers both training and paid placements, providing individuals with ‘set-ready’ training to support them as they apply for placements on film productions. For people over 18 with no upper age limit.

BFI NETWORK: Early Development Fund
Deadline Thu 30 Nov
Film funding for writers to develop the early stages of development for their first long-form projects. Funding between £3,000 and £5,000 available to support writing a treatment, creating related materials, and paying a producer.

The Uncertain Kingdom: British filmmaker feature development fund
Deadline: Thu 30 Nov, 17:00
£60,000 available, divided between two to four projects to supports filmmakers who have made at least one feature and have the vision for many more. Supporting a whole range of development cost for fiction or non fiction project in all genre.

Send in your  short, mid-length and feature films documentary and non-fiction films to be considered for premiering as part one of the biggest documentary festival.

BBC Writers’ Open Call

BBC Writers are looking for writers with the potential to be developed and produced for BBC broadcast. Send in your script for Drama or Comedy Drama and be in for a chance to get the full benefit of training, development and support from the wonderful BBC Writers’ team.

Call for submission: FluxusMuseum Prize for Experimental Video

The FluxusMuseum Prize is looking for proposals for experimental works. Selected works will be commissioned for a fee of €600. Completed films will be featured in their exhibition as well as eligible for wining prizes of  €10,000 or €5000.

Northern Heart Doc Fund

Factory Sounds 2024 Call out

Support of up to £1,000 for anyone based in Greater Manchester who’s creating something in music, whether as professional or amateur musicians, DJs, producers and promoters, label owners and manager.
