Producer Peer Support Session

As part of the Producers Toolkit, on Tue 23 Jan 2024 HOME are facilitating a Producer meet up and support sessions in two parts.

A number of producers have expressed that they would benefit from a space to come together and share experiences and skills with other producers.

HOME are therefore running a pilot event for Producers to come together to discuss what this might look like.

This is a FREE event but we ask that you book a place so that we know how many people are coming.

The evening will be in 2 parts;

6pm – 8pm: Producer Meet Up & Upskilling

Open to anyone, but recommended for those who have produced at least 1 project at any level (fringe / professional).

This session will be a focus group / discussion on gaps in existing producer support. We will discuss what are helpful tools and workshop sessions that can be booked in for future sessions, supported by HOME.

We will use the initial session to help shape what future meet ups can look like for maximum long-term support of both established and emerging producers in Greater Manchester.

We will also use this time to support each other; providing time and space for producers to discuss both current and future projects, and offer each other support / guidance.

8pm – 9pm: Producer Support Group

This group is for producers who have produced at least 1 professional production (‘professional’ defined as a project where all creatives were paid Equity Minimum wages).

Producing can feel isolating at times; shouldering the pressure of managing a project, supporting a team of creatives and having complex issues to solve on a daily basis.

This closed session is for producers to feel less alone and share in a safe space. The goal is to connect with fellow producers, support each other and have a community long-term.
